Even Me

Even Me (2012) offers a deeply personal, sex-positive exploration of HIV/AIDS among older Black women and one Black man, often overlooked in discussions of sexual health. Through candid conversations, they openly share their experiences with sexuality, aging, and HIV, breaking down the stigma that assumes older adults, particularly in Black communities, are asexual and not vulnerable to HIV. By centering their voices, Even Me highlights the unique sexual health challenges they face and calls for greater awareness, education, and understanding. The film fosters open dialogue and challenges misconceptions, offering a humanizing look at aging, sexuality, and HIV in Black communities.
