the TEAM
our MISSION
The HER Multimedia Lab, founded by Dr. Megan Ebor, is committed to advancing the well-being of older adults, with a particular focus on older Black women. We merge science and storytelling, transforming complex health research into relatable and impactful narratives. Through innovative multimedia approaches, we empower and educate communities, fostering health equity and improving lives. Our work focuses on sexual health across the lifespan, with an emphasis on HIV prevention, sexual health and wellness education within marginalized communities. By harnessing the power of multimedia, we aim to change hearts, influence attitudes, and drive policy change.

Unapologetically making waves and pushing boundaries, the HER Multimedia team at SDSU, led by Megan Ebor, is dedicated to challenging the status quo through their research, mentorship, and teaching. By forming a dynamic partnership with community members, they transform research from a study of people into a collaboration with them. This approach places community members at the center of their work, fostering personal investment and participation, which drives meaningful change together.
