Bhjan Kaur (She/Her) is a Graduate Research Assistant in the H.E.R. Multimedia Lab at San Diego State University, pursuing a Master’s in Social Work with an expected graduation date of May 2025. Her research focuses on health communication strategies to effectively convey HIV-related information, particularly in international settings, with the goal of improving health outcomes through culturally tailored approaches. As an SD Bright SUN Fellow she is currently identifying gaps in the literature on HIV in India, with a focus on regional differences. Bhjan has contributed to studies on enhancing engagement in health prevention services for mpox, HIV, STIs, and future pandemics. Her goal is to obtain licensure after completing her MSW and ultimately pursue a doctorate. Outside of academics, Bhjan enjoys true crime podcasts, spending time in nature, and experimenting with new recipes.
