KO^ the Katalyst

KO^ the Katalyst (Komica Junaid) is a creative swiss army knife: a composer, producer, singer/songwriter. She started on the drums (inspired by Shelia E) and then found her way to piano, but it was learning the Organ from a barbershop quartet singer that led her to her ultimate love in music:  harmony.  Layering harmonies would become the signature sound of her musical storytelling. From her roots in country Kansas, to her cultivated west coast cool.  From her gospel start to her hip hop/pop heart; this diversity and mixture informs her capacity to serve each project as individual and unique as the creators she collaborates with.
